| The Saturday games saw the Jimmies get out to an early 4-0 lead, but failing to hold onto it as the Blue Hawks came back to win 8-5. Campbell started for the Jimmies, with Schlapbach coming in for relief.
The Second game was all Jimmies. Setting the tone early, the Jimmies scored 4 runs in the first, highlighted by a two run homerun by Chad Hollister. Ben Cairns, Dave Sauter and Matt Daul also help lead the Jimmie offensive all with 3 hits a piece. Greg Hockin pitched another great outing, going the complete game and only allowing 1 run to a tough Blue Hawk Lineup. On Sunday, in the first game against MSU-Billings, the Jimmies were able to score runs in the first but did not do too much from there out. Chad Hollister was 2-3 with 2 rbi's in the game accounting for most of the Jimmies offense. Travis Goset started for the Jimmies, starting strong but allowing some tough runs across in the third inning. For the second day in a row the Jimmies bats get red hot in the second game of the double header, putting up 10 runs on 10 hits. Jeremy Burgard, Sauter, and Daul lead the attack with 2 hits each, with Sam Price chipping in 3 rbi's. Dirk Demboski got the start for the Jimmies, and gave the team a quality start. Dirk scattered seven hits without walking a single batter, and tallying 3 strikeouts. The Jimmies look to take two today against MSU-Billings, in Billings, MT. |
