AnnaLiesa Fauth and Katie Conlon each broke a long-standing Jamestown College school record to highlight a very productive day for the Jimmie women’s track & field team at the Cobber Duals in Moorhead on Saturday.

Coach Clark's Comments:

“This was a breakthrough day for many members of our team today. 19 Jimmies scored points and 15 individual personal bests were recorded in addition to the school records and NAIA qualifiers. I am very proud of our distance and middle distance runners. We placed 1-2-4-7 in the 800, 1-2-6-8 in the mile, and 1-2-3-7 in the 3000 in addition to winning the distance medley. If Katie had not had such a stunning pair of performances today, Alyssa’s day would have stood out as one of the best distance doubles I have ever seen here. Also, Ashleigh Anderson made huge strides today, running big career bests in both the 3000 and Mile and Rachel Bickford ran an outstanding career best in the Mile today. Cambrya Belter also had a solid double in the mile and 3000. Last week, we focused on relays and got them qualified. This week, we saw how well we could perform in the individuals events. Katie Zent had a very good day, running her season best 60.63 to place 3rd in the 400 and finishing 5th in her first triple jump attempt of the season – 33’ 11 ¼”. Sarah placed in the long jump in addition the hurdles and medley relay. Marissa Curry anchored our 3rd place 4 x 200 relay and placed 4th in her first 800 race of the year. It was good to have Megan Vote back in the weight throw and also to see freshman Danielle Roeske record a 3-foot career best of 34’9 ½” in the weight and a career best in the shot as well. Beth Segerholm cleared a height in her first career pole vaulting attempt, ran well in the 4 x 200 relay, and ran her best time in the 200. Stephanie Erlandson reduced her season best 400 to 61.19. It was an exciting day. We saw so much improvement and the results of a lot of hard work. We will see a lot of outstanding competition next Saturday and the Bison Open and that should be just what we need as we prepare for our conference meet a week later in Spearfish."
