Jamestown College recognized outstanding students, faculty and staff at its annual Honors Convocation held April 11.
Vicki Greshik, associate professor of Business, Accounting and Economics, was named Professor of the Year. Judy Hager, admissions counselor, was named Staff Person of the Year.

Jamestown College President Robert S. Badal has been elected chair of the Association of Presbyterian Colleges and Universities (APCU) for 2013-2014.
“Bob has been an active member of APCU since becoming president at Jamestown,” says Gary Luhr, Executive Director of APCU. “He regularly attends our annual college presidents’ conference, and he has demonstrated a commitment to maintaining Jamestown's connection to the Presbyterian Church (USA). He brings imagination and a sense of humor to the position of chair, two qualities every leader should possess.” read more »
The Jamestown College Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) chapter recently brought home awards from the organization’s state leadership conference.
Trisha Sem, Ambrose, N.D., was named Vice President of Communication for the 2013-14 academic year for the state PBL organization.
First place winners from the Jamestown College chapter were Michael Cumber, Jamestown, in Product Management and Information Management; and Kevin Hoversland, Wolf Point, Mont., in Cyber Security and Economic Analysis and Decision Making. read more »
The Jamestown College Department of Communication is hosting the second annual Great Debate at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 16 in Level Two of the Nafus Student Center. The event is free and open to the public.
Two teams of students will participate in a formal debate on the resolution that semiautomatic assault weapons should be banned. The students are Kayla Byle, MacKenzie Hertz, Anthony Hsu, Daniel Juelson, Parinaz Kassemi and Beth Ryan. Dr. Irene Paasch, professor and Communication Department chair, will moderate.
Jamestown College will host a book signing for authors Larry Woiwode and Laurel Woiwode at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 18 in the lobby of the Unruh and Sheldon Center. The event is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase at the event. Refreshments will be served. read more »
