Full tuition Wilson Scholarships awarded

Jamestown College has awarded the prestigious, full tuition Wilson Scholarship to three high school seniors.

Jace Erickson, Jamestown; Nicholas Lee, Valley City, N.D.; and Mikala Osborne, Columbus, Mont., were selected among students participating in an on-campus interview, essay and examination process in February.  read more »

Melvin R. Arnold Scholarships awarded

Jamestown College has awarded the Melvin R. Arnold Scholarship to three high school seniors.

Julia Peterson, Makoti, N.D.; Cole Praus, Breckenridge, Minn.; and Trisha Sem, Ambrose, N.D., were selected from students participating in an on-campus interview and examination process in February. The scholarship is valued at $10,000 over four years.  read more »

Jimmie women's season ends in round of 16

The Jamestown College women’s basketball team fell in the round of sixteen Friday as they were defeated 80-58 by two-time defending national champs Northwestern (Iowa) at the NAIA Division II Women's Basketball Championships in Sioux City, Iowa.

The Jimmies finish the season at 27-5, setting a new school record for wins in a season.

Scoring leaders for the Jimmies Friday were Amber Ramlo (junior, Jamestown) and Kellie Schuneman (senior, Lino Lakes, Minn.) with 10 each and Casey Geffre (sophomore, Hankinson) and Bridget Schuneman (junior, Lino Lakes, Minn.) with nine each.  read more »

Jimmie men's season ends in Point Lookout

The Jamestown College men’s basketball team mounted a thrilling comeback but fell just short as they were defeated by St. Francis (Ind.) 64-63 Thursday in the opening round of the NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball Championships in Point Lookout, Mo.

The Jimmies were led in scoring by Mark Hoge (sophomore, Ironton, Minn.) with 17, Byron Jones (senior, Glenarden, Md.) with 16 and Davon Thomas (sophomore, Gaffney, S.C.) with 12. Drew Preiner (freshman, Oakdale, Minn.) led the Jimmies in rebounds with 10.

The Jimmies finished the season 25-7.

Backpack to Briefcase Conference March 21

The Jamestown College Look Forward Committee is hosting a Backpack to Briefcase Conference from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21 on the campus of Jamestown College.

Stutsman County Extension Service Agent Christina Rittenbach will give the keynote presentation, “Managing Debt and Using Credit Wisely,” at 7 p.m. in Level Two of the Nafus Student Center.  read more »
