Full tuition Wilson Scholarships awarded

Jamestown College has awarded the prestigious, full tuition Wilson Scholarship to two high school seniors.

Jennifer Brandt, Devils Lake, and Megan Baker, Ankeny, Iowa, were selected among students participating in an on-campus interview, essay and examination process in November. Another Wilson Scholarship session will be held in February. read more »

Science scholarships awarded

Jamestown College has awarded the Melvin R. Arnold Scholarship to two high school seniors.

Taylor Bertsch, Fargo, and Leah Larson, Bemidji, Minn., were selected from high school seniors participating in an on-campus interview and examination process in November. The scholarship is valued at $10,000 over four years. read more »

Nursing students named to honor society

The Jamestown College Department of Nursing announces nine senior students were inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International nursing honor society and the Xi-Kappa Chapter-at-Large on Nov. 19.

The students are Natalie Gunderson, Jamestown; Elizabeth Anderson, Bowbells; Austin Fitterer, Flasher; Michelle Tompkins, Milnor; Jana Hoffmann, Watford City; Raven Larson, Battle Lake, Minn.; Heidi Hunter, Clearbrook, Minn.; Ashley Cooper, Laurel, Mont.; and Amanda Athon, Arlington, Texas. read more »

Students of Service ship gifts for Operation Christmas Child

Jamestown College’s Students of Service recently packed and shipped more than 130 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.

The project is a year-round endeavor for the group members as they fundraise and collect gifts to brighten Christmas for boys and girls around the world. The entire Jamestown College community gets involved by contributing items or monetary support toward the project. The Jimmie Knight Line Dance Team helped Students of Service members pack the gifts. read more »

Visiting Chinese professors leading Look Beyond event Dec. 6

The Jamestown College Look Beyond Committee, Art Department and Foreign Language Department are hosting “The Great Wall: An Inside Perspective on Chinese Culture and Education” with visiting Chinese professors Li Xiaoqing and Guo Li, at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6 in Level Two of the Nafus Student Center.
