Homecoming royalty crowned Oct. 10

Jamestown College students Leah Jystad of Jamestown and Caleb Grossman of Grand Rapids, Minn., were crowned 2011 Homecoming Queen and King at a coronation ceremony on Monday, Oct. 10.  

Jystad is pursuing a major in elementary education and a minor in Character in Leadership. She is active in Jimmie Ambassadors, SNDEA, Alpha Chi honor society and intramural athletics. She is the daughter of Phil and Shelly Jystad.  read more »

Musical comedy group 'The Water Coolers' on stage Oct. 13

Jamestown College’s 2011-12 Performing Arts Series continues with the musical comedy troupe “The Water Coolers” at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13 in the Reiland Fine Arts Center’s DeNault Auditorium.

Science Symposium featuring alumni presentations Oct. 14

Jamestown College will celebrate the success of its graduates in the fields of science and mathematics at the College’s fourth All-Science and Math Symposium on Friday, Oct. 14 in conjunction with Homecoming 2011 activities.

Several Jamestown College alumni will make presentations throughout the day beginning at 9 a.m., and Dr. Kerstin Leuther, a 1988 graduate of Jamestown College, will deliver the keynote address at 5 p.m.

The public is invited to attend the Symposium. All events will take place in the Reiland Fine Arts Center.  read more »

Jamestown College is state's highest ranked Top Tier school in U.S. News & World Report

Jamestown College has again received the highest ranking of all North Dakota schools in U.S. News and World Report’s “Best Colleges 2012” edition.

For the fifth consecutive year, Jamestown College is ranked in the Top Tier of Best Regional Colleges in the “Best Colleges 2012” rankings released Sept. 13, moving up eight spots from last year’s ranking.  read more »
