Students' 'Trick-or-Can' food drive benefits food pantry

Jamestown College student volunteers collected more than 1,800 items during the Student Senate’s annual “Trick or Can” door-to-door food drive for the Community Action Food Pantry on Oct. 23.

Seven teams participated in the effort. A team from the Nursing Student Association collected the most items (348), and a team from the Jimmie track and field team collected the most items per team member (58.8). read more »

Jamestown College employees and trustees were honored recently by President Robert S. Badal for their years of service to the College.

Thirty-five years: Tom Heck, Business Affairs; Dr. Teree Rittenbach, Nursing.

Thirty years: Dr. Tim Bratton, History-Political Science; Tim Kachel, Computer Center.

Twenty-five years: Dorothy Holley, English.

Hammond, Erlandson named Homecoming King and Queen

Jamestown College students Stephanie Erlandson of Breckenridge, Minn., and Andrew Hammond of Lake St. Louis, Mo., were crowned 2012 Homecoming Queen and King at a coronation ceremony on Monday, Oct. 8. Erlandson is pursuing a major in exercise science. She is active in Jimmie Ambassadors, Student Senate, track, Conduct Committee and tutoring.Hammond is pursuing majors in history and French education. He is active in football and Alpha Mu Gamma honor society. read more »

Jamestown College announces the expansion of campus to Fargo with new doctoral program

Jamestown College broke ground Oct. 4 in Fargo on a new 13,500-square foot facility which will become the future home of the College’s developing Doctor of Physical Therapy program. It will be the College’s first doctoral program and the first to be offered in a new location in order to capitalize on Fargo’s major health care facilities and programs. read more »

Jamestown College has been named a Military Friendly School by Victory Media.
