Components of the Program |

| The Program's minor incorporates three components: |
| |
| Traditional Academic Courses (12 credit-hours). The minor will include new courses in basic ethical leadership (3 credit-hours) and advanced ethical leadership (3 credit-hours), a section of Ethics (Phil 252) that focuses on moral questions of leadership (3 credit-hours), and a course drawn from a list of existing offerings (3 credit-hours). |

| Seminars in Practical Leadership (2 credit-hours). The minor will incorporate interactive seminars in which students will 1) share with each other leadership experiences, 2) discuss ethical questions of leadership that arise from experiences, and 3) learn about problems of ethics and leadership from professionals in the fields of business, government, religion, non-profit service, and other areas. |

| Projects and Practical Experience (7 credit-hours). The minor will incorporate 1) two group projects, in which students gain experience in working together and serving others, and developing leadership skills (1 credit-hour each); 2) internships, missions, workshops and conferences (2 credit-hours), and 3) a final project, in which the student will develop a plan for incorporating the knowledge and experiences gained from the program into his/her future professional and/or personal life (3 credit-hours). |

| In addition, the program will include Extracurricular Requirements, such as participation in retreats and projects, attendance at lectures, assumption of leadership roles on campus, and involvement in other program-related activities that will promote individual development. |
