26th Annual Jimmie Scramble
Jamestown College and the Jimmie Booster Club hosted the 26th annual Jimmie Scramble golf tournament Saturday, June 16th at the Jamestown Country Club.Despite battling floods for the last three years, the Club was in great condition to provide “flood free” golf for the Scramble.
The event started on Friday afternoon with the Jimmie Shoot-Out. The champions of the Shoot-Out were Scott Aune and Lee Erickson.
On Saturday, 32 teams of four brought a total of 128 participants to the Club.
In the net division, the third place team was John Yatskis, Brian Chandler, Steve Bennion and Brad Huse. The second place team was Lee Erickson, Matt Tiggas, Fred Walker and Tracy Erickson. The net division champions were Mike Harris, Cam McLachlan, Ben Tompkins and Miles Torgerson.
In the gross division, the third place team was Bud Etzold, BJ Etzold, Greg Ross and Kevin Berg. The second place team was Steven Sedler, Ryan Opdahl, Mike Opdahl and Nate Kirkeby. The gross division champions were Len Orr, Scott Aune, Curt Graves and Kevin Widmer.
Profits from the scramble will benefit the Jimmie Athletic Department, including scholarships and overall needs of the seventeen team athletics program.
