Mandatory Testing
Chemistry/Math placement testing is mandatory for students enrolled in MATH 151, MATH 111, or CHEM 133. The students will need to bring 2 pencils and a non-programmable calculator (any other calculator will not be permitted during testing).

All first year students that are selected are required to take the Collegiate Learning Assessment Exam (You will be notified of your selection during check-in to orientation). The CLA measures your critical thinking, analytic reasoning, problem solving and written communication abilities. Your score report will include your strengths and weaknesses on these skills and compare your performance to other students at Jamestown College and nationwide. Your participation also will help Jamestown College gauge its performance in helping you develop these skills.
