Faculty Blog - Instructions and Links

Blog – n. (shortened from weblog), a type of website where entries are made and displayed in reverse chronological order. Topical messages/conversations can be nested together if you reply within that message.

During a workshop discussion several faculty requested that we have a blog page to be able to hold on-line discussions to further enhance faculty development. Our college webmaster created a Faculty Blog page for us (the faculty at Jamestown College).

Click Faculty Blog to access this webpage. (Directions for posting information are below.)
Enter your faculty login and password.
You will see any topics open for reading and discussion.

• To begin discussion on a new topic: Click on “Add a new Topic” near the top of the page. That will start a new “thread” for discussion and not embed it under a different topic. A new blog window will open up for you. Then scroll down to click on “Post reply”.
• To contribute or respond to a current topic discussion: Click on the first link of the topic to access the Reply comments (otherwise you just get a blank page). Be sure to scroll down to post your reply.
• If you want your comments erased at any time, just email our webmaster with your request.
