These are the characters I took to Battle on Beale with me this past year (2009). I decided I wanted to do something different with the mages other than just putting on horses. So I kept an eye out on ebay and bought some lions from the lion chariot models am mounted the mages on them. I thought they turned out pretty good. The face of the one mage with the staff (not the archmage) did not turnout the way I wanted and I plan to go back and touch him up. The noble with the banner turned out pretty well, but boy did I discover that I hate painting horses with him. Which really sucked when I got to the dragon princes.

Man that BSB is sweet. I believe though that your description of you Mage is a little off, as it looks like he’s riding a Lion and not a Horse

Thanks for the heads up, Blair. The caption is now worded properly. You know, I really wish the mages could ride lions I would rather have their attacks than the horses.
