The Major in Business Administration weaves an international perspective throughout its curriculum and includes a broad selection of core courses to provide you with a comprehensive and global view of business organizations. Within the major, you expand upon the core courses and develop an area of specialization by selecting one or more of the program's concentrations. The Department of Business, Accounting, and Economics offers business concentrations in Accounting, Business Communication, Economics, Financial Planning, General Management, Global Business, and Marketing.

In the workplace, employers are increasingly seeking people who are well-rounded; who possess effective communication, interpersonal, creative, and analytical skills; and who are adaptable and flexible. Since studies in the liberal arts serve to enhance these characteristics, skills, and abilities, you also have the opportunity to augment your business studies and broaden your horizons by choosing a Liberal Arts Concentration, which consists of 18 credit hours from any one of the liberal arts minors at Jamestown College.

The Major in Business Administration emphasizes leadership, management, and a global perspective to prepare you for management positions in a variety of settings including manufacturing, retail, services, education, non-profit, and governmental organizations.
