The Major in Management Information Science is modeled after the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) recomendations for an information science undergraduate program. The major is designed for students who are interested in working with information systems within a business environment. Computer science and technology courses are combined with courses offered by the Department of Business, Accounting, and Economics, such as accounting, finance, management, and marketing, to expose the student to computer information systems and business functions. Possible career paths for students who complete this major include systems analyst, systems designer, application programmer, and information retrieval specialist.
 

 The Program

 
Students must complete 57 credit hours, which include the Computer Science and Technology Core and a set of business and math correlative courses.
